How it Works

OUR CHAT

Before I jump into pre-production I will have a meeting with you so that we can get to know each other, and I can learn more about your story and your history. This will help me to visualise how the documentary could unfold.

PRE-PRODUCTION

It's at this stage that we'll begin planning out schedules, locations and logistics. Your story might require for us to film in various locations, and if so we can plan this out, and I can make sure that any necessary permits are acquired.

PRODUCTION

Production normally runs over a minimum of two days and can run on for as many days as we need, but it's usually broken down into two parts: the main and the b-roll.

For documentaries the interview this will serve as the main narrative for the film, and will very much be like our first chat.

POST-PRODUCTION

When it comes to the edit, I like to start with a radio edit first in order to get the story and the pace locked down. I'll then share the radio edit with you so you can hear the story, and then I'll begin piecing everything together. After that, it's time to share your story.
